About Forrest

History is a subject that involves exploring world cultures and structures, but most importantly, it allows us to explore ourselves. I have studied world history for years and also study it as a hobby. My specialties are in European history, WW2, Soviet history, Latin American history, and American history. It would be a pleasure to help others understand turning points in human history that still affect them today.

History is a passion for me because it tells the ultimate story. It inspires us to become better as people and as a society. Plus, it is a nice escape from the current times we live in.

I started tutoring because I love discussing History with other people. Also, meeting new people can be very rewarding.

I have a dual degree in Communication Studies and Comprehensive History from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

About the lesson

For the first meeting, I would like to get to know the student and see if my tutoring is an accurate fit. If the first meeting goes well and both the student and myself agree to continue, then I will devise a workplan for that individual student. I will also request to have access to their work materials such as books so I myself can understand their course requirements. To assist the student, I will make diagrams and other materials for them to study. My tutoring would also involve much one on one discussion.

Because I am new to teaching, most of the students I have worked with were classmates. We structured projects together and we also assisted one another with assignments. In many cases, I assisted in teaching graduate level courses with personalized presentations assigned to me by the professor.
