About Michelle

Harp Lessons, beginner and intermediate. Pedal and level harp.

Playing the harp brings me joy! I have been playing music since I was 7 years old. Starting with the piano at age 7 and intrigued by the harp at the age of 13. I began my harp playing in High School and majored in harp as an undergraduate. I fell more in love with the harp when I studied in Maine for 3 summers. I completed my MMEd in Music Education and majored in Harp Performace. I love playing all genres of music. I own 5 HARPS and play them all.

I am an elemental music educator who recently retired from 40 years of teaching music in the public and private schools. I continue my position as Senior Professor at The University of the Arts, Philadelphia.

I am passionate about teaching and look forward to working with students in a successful harp playing experience.

MMEd in Music Education with Performance on Harp from West Chester University, 1985. I studied with Edna Phillips the former first harpist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Alice Chalifoux, the former first Harpist of the Cleveland Symphony. I am a free-lance musician. I enjoy playing all genres. I play both pedal, lever, and 22 string lap harp.
