Perfect! Lessons with Mark are one of the highlights of my week. When I first decided to take lessons, I wanted to find someone who actually knew music and could explain why things were the way that they were, not just someone who figured “I play guitar, maybe I should teach it.” Mark is incredibly knowledgeable, while also having a great sense of humor that makes the entire learning experience a lot of fun. Even the beginner books that I’m working out of have been fun, because he constantly shows ways to make each song better by showing me techniques I can use to make it more “musical”. In addition to the lessons being great, there have been several times that I’ve had to reschedule lessons to a different day, and Mark has been so flexible with me. I definitely recommend lessons with Mark.

Perfect! Mark is an excellent teacher. I have been taking piano lessons with him for several years now since moving to Cleveland in 2020, and he has become like family to me. He is patient and kind, and I appreciate that he follows my pace as an adult learner who has never played piano before but also challenges me to keep growing. He makes each lesson fun, and attending lessons has become one of my most favorite parts of each week. I always leave my piano lessons feeling refreshed and happy because of Mark's calm and encouraging teaching style.
