About Thomas

I played 4 years of High School golf along with 4 years of College golf at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. I started playing golf in 8th grade and completely fell in love with the game. I'm TPI level one certified for golf instruction and I've given lessons for the past two summers. I enjoy working golfers of all skill levels...high handicappers and low handicappers. I'm currently working on my level 2 TPI certification for instruction.

My senior year at Southwestern University, our golf team won the SCAC Conference Championship. I can get students to the next level if they have an interest in playing golf competively. I can also work with students who just want to enjoy themselves while they play golf recreationally. Below is my linked in profile....

I want to know what their goals are. Where do they want to go with golf? Do they want to play competitively or do they want to be good enough to play on the weekend with their buddies? Once I understand a student's goals, I can make lesson plans for them. I have my students warm up and then ultimately get to a 7 iron and I will take some face on and down the line videos to get a feel for their swing and their misses. After this, we look into how to improve the swing to get more consistent. I always leave my players with drills to do so they can work on their mechanics until we meet again.
