About Shivanshi
Hello! I'm a maths student in my final year at the University of Nottingham. I love maths and the process of teaching it as it's very rewarding to see students have a lightbulb moment when a topic clicks. I truly believe anyone can succeed in maths; it sometimes just takes a little push or being shown a concept from a different angle (no pun intended)

Specialising in online lessons with a digital whiteboard. Usually 1 hour lessons but willing to be flexible on this. I have been tutoring for 4 years and previous students have seen improvements in their grades and in their positivity towards maths as a subject. I can set regular homework to consolidate topics covered in lessons which is then marked. Mainly work with KS3 and GCSE students. My teaching focuses on fully understanding the material instead of just learning for exams. My lesson structure is usually warm up questions on the previous lesson's material followed by teaching/practising the next topic with less and less help until the student is doing questions fully independently. Lessons will contain plenty of worked examples showing all types of questions that can be asked on a topic and how to tackle each type as well as general approaches to problem solving. We can also talk about out of curriculum maths topics if students would like extra context or a challenge.
