Owner and Guide Jason Hamrick has 23 years experience guiding fly fisherman on the North Platte River in Casper, Wyoming. He has competed on the Tarpon Fly Fishing Championship circuit in the Florida Keys, and has a passion for salt water fly fishing. Jason also spent many years as a high school Physical Education and Health Teacher and Coached a variety of sports.
With a love for teaching and the desire to give clients and students the best fishing experience of their life, we encourage those curious about fly fishing to come give it a try. Jason personally hand picks and trains his guides in order to give the novice a successful and fun learning experience.

We provide all the gear necessary to learn the fundamentals of fly fishing. We will teach you about the ecology and entemology of the river system which produces the food sources for our hungry trout. We help you identify the proper flies to use based on water conditions, hatches, and season. You will learn about different rod and reel options to used, based on the three major types of fly fishing: nymphing, dry fly, and streamer fishing. We will show you how to tie proper knots and how to adjust the length and weight based on river depths and flow. Finally, we will teach you proper casting, mending, stripping and setting techniques to ensure solid hooksets and a higher success rate. Of course, once we net your beast, we have to take pictures!
