About Sara

I am a college graduate who is passionate about languages and learning who loves to help students and learners express themselves and have their learning needs met. I have tutored Englsih learners and spent a year teaching in a Japanese middle school. I have worked with very young learners as young as pre-kindergarden, school children of a variety of ages, and also with adults. I am TEFL certified and am always reading about language. I am happy to find the best way to provide for a student's needs!

I have always been interested in languages and meeting people from all over the world. English can be a way to communicate with people all over the world. I enjoy helping people find their voice in English.

I have TEFL certification and experience in a tutoring and foreign school setting.

About the lesson

I like to assess the student for the first session. We will talk and see where the best starting place is. From there, we will work on the needs of the student and also the wants of the student.

I have worked with school children from pre-kindergarden to college students and with adults.

Help me know what your goals are! And, be yourself. We can work together to acheive great things.

While teaching in Japan, I worked closely with a student who is very interested in becoming fluent in English. She is very driven and wanted to talk every day. We regularly sat and had conversations, played games, and learned together. We were sad to part, but we still talk regularly by email and other methods.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do you have the time to dedicate to study? We will have our lesson time available to work on needs, but language students need to do their best to study every day. Otherwise, what do you want to be able to do in English? If you know what you want, we can work together to become better.

The first meeting will be a free assessment and we can determine a price based on the number of sessions. I am also willing to discount for having multiple students in a session.
