On the first meeting, I conduct an ice-breaker where I can get to know the student, and the student can become familar with my teaching style.
Depending on the student's goals, I will do an assessment that may consist of speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, and/or grammar.
I let my students know that it is okay to make mistakes, and that they never have to feel afraid in my class.
