About Alexandra
As a Medical Student, I am no stranger to the dedication and study - time it takes to see students excel and build confidence in their skills. I want to partner with YOU and your students in various educational goals, as learning builds both confidence and joy in the pursuit of knowledge. I pride myself in my patient approach, multi-faceted teaching style (reading, writing, practice questions, etc)., and ability to meet students where they are educationally and emotionally.
I have been a teaching assistant and tutor for the majority of my undergraduate and graduate level/doctoral level education. I specialize in Spanish and Hispanic studies with an emphasis in grammar education, language comprehension skills, and literature/writing. Furthermore, my Medical Student specialty in terms of tutoring include the basic sciences, cellular physiology, microbiology, and clinical skills/dx.
With 5+ years of teaching experience in the field of English as a Second Language (ESL), I am confident in my ability to support not only English speaking students in need of tutoring, but Spanish speaking students as well. Translation skills and learning to navigate the world of bilingual education is something I am passionate about. I would love to support ESL students in their learning journeys and goals --!
