About Janee'

I aim at assisting students on a diverse level with understanding assignments, writing materials, and cognitive development. I am a social worker and have provided therapy amongst other services to youth and adults. I infuse what I know about cognitive behavior, brain functions, and learning styles to achieve student success in and outside of the classroom. I want to learn and understand what is best for you, meeting you where you are, and setting you on a path to success and sustainability.

I enjoy the changes people make in their behaviors, thoughts, and understanding of themselves and the world around them. Psycheducation is a major compenent in my work because when children and adults understand how to work within the scope of their individual cognition, it further improves their behavior in the classroom, at work, and the relationships they maintain with people.

I used to tutor elementary school kids when I was in undergrad prior to my case management internship. While doing case management, I would work with the children in a macro concept focusing on their school, family, friendships, social anxieties etc. Then realizing that everything is a circle; if one part of your circle is off, everything seems to lack.

I am a Masters level social worker. I have not only provided therapy for clients, I have provided case manageent to children and families helping them get access to resources. I have worked in middle and high schools assisting students with developmental differences, while also working with the teachers and school counselors.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should ask themselves what, if any, fears they have with communicating to teachers. Also explainging how they learn and how the teacher can teach them within their learning and communication styles. Students should think about meeting time frames, creating boundaries, and prioritizing their work to not become overwhelmed.
