About Dana

I have been teaching for approximately 10 years servicing birth through 3rd grade. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education with a Special Ed endorsement. Most of my teaching has been in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. I absolutely making an impact on a child's education :)

I began teaching while I was in college. I needed a job that would work with my college schedule. I always wanted to go into teacher so I started by substituting for the School District of Palm Beach County. During this time I was able to get my feet wet and really decide what grades I enjoyed best. After substituting I landed a job as an IT tech for a local school and worked there for 4 years before moving to Arizona. Since my years in Arizona most of my time has been in the classroom which is my passion.

I am currently teaching Kindergarten and am familiar with the curriculum for grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

About the lesson

I typically have the student take a quick assessment to see what they know and what they need help on. These are both done in ELA and Math. I will also send an email to their teacher to see how they're doing in class and what their strengths and weaknesses are. I keep in touch with the teacher through out the whole tutoring process.

I currently work with Gen Ed students and Special Ed students. I am highly qualified to teach both groups.

I am compasionate, I'm trustworthy, I'm very patient and I absolutely love teaching! I treat my students as if they were my own children. I only want the best for them.
