About Donna

Welcome! As a Certified Elementary Education Teacher with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education K-8, and more than 10 years of teaching experience, it is a pleasure to be here. I enjoy supporting students and their families, to help them reach their true potential, and develop a love of learning.

I have always been passionate about helping students become successful, independent learners. In addition to tutoring in all subjects, I provide strategies to help students become better organized, manage their time, improve their reading, writing and math skills as well as become better test takers.

I've had a passion for teaching since I was an elementary student myself! One of the most rewarding moments is when I see a student becoming more confident in the classroom. It is priceless. My goal to help each and every student be the best they can be.

Fast Facts about me:

I currently teach fourth grade English and Social Studies.

I have taught grades K-5, and primarily grades 3-5.

I have tutored students from PreK through 7th grade.

I support students and their families with a strong focus in reading support, as well as math, study skills, homework help, test taking strategies and overall organizational skills.

Make a list of your challenges, thoughts about what you need help with, and things you like about school and reading.

Give the teacher time to first talk with you so you can get to know each other. Then you will see if it may be the right fit for both of you!

How confident am I in myself currently? Why?

How well do I read? If I'm struggling, what is it that is hard? (I don't know many of the words, I don't know what they mean, I can't pronounce them, I don't understand a lot of the sentences, I lose my thought as I read a sentence).
