About Chris
I've been tutoring and teaching since 2005 and specialize in writing, editing, and test preparation.
I have a MA TESL from Northern Arizona University and have taught overseas for 6 years (China and South Korea) and most recetly was a coordinator of an English department in Hangzhou, China.
Before that, I worked in St. Paul, MN and owned a tutoring and editing company, in addition to working in a university writing center.

For longer-term tutoring, a portion of the first meeting usually involves a needs assessment - this is a short interview and discussion to help us identify goals, areas to focus on, and plan an approach to achieve the goals.
If it is for test preparation, I'll ask the student to take a diagnostic test before we have our first tutoring session.
