About Joy
I have loved writing all my life. Because of this, I have completed and published a short novel and a book of poetry. I have attended conference in writing and am up to date on trends and processes. Nothing brings me more joy than to help someone bring their words to life on the page.
I have always believed in students and found myself working with them fresh out of college. I continued as a therapist in two middle schools after that. I am always seeking ways to support students.
I have a Master of Arts in clinical counseling. I have been writing fiction, essays and poems for over ten years. I worked in both elementary and middle schools as a teacher's aid for kids with disabilities for four years. I tutored individual students during those years, modified curriculum, and helped them succeed in their own ways
