About Kristen

I am a Liberal Studies Major at Arizona State University, and a mother. My daughter is doing e-learning this year due to the Covid pandemic. I understand the struggles parents face in making sure that their kids are getting the education they need. Children need guidence during this trying time. I enjoy teaching, and sharing my passion for learning. I want to share this passion, help children understand concepts they may be struggling with, and make learning fun.

In addition to hands on experience with my own child, I was also an Education Major at Anderson University, and I specialized in helping those with special needs. I also have experience in adult training and leadership that I have gained throughout my proffesional life.

Teaching others is my passion. There is no better joy than the exciment of a child when they truly grasp a learning concept.

About the lesson

It is important to engage with the student, to find out what they are interested in, and get an idea for how they learn best.

Next it is important to find out their strengths, weaknesses, and any fustrastions with learning they might have.

Once a general assesment is made, it is easier to tailor tasks that will engage the student, enable them to learn, and also have fun during the process.
