About April

I absolutely love helping people overcome their obstacles to achieve their academic goals. Educating others is rewarding to me, but most importantly it has the ability to transform someone's life for the better.

I have been teaching and training for over 6 years and it is the best decision I could have made!

It started with Homeschooling my own children. I found a new passion when I taught them literally EVERYTHING from Reading or Writing to Math and Science. Subjects that they initially thought were boring or uninteresting became some of their favorites. I have a way to spark interest and passion in just about any academic subject I teach.

About the lesson

In the beginning, I never want to assume I already know the path that the student needs. So, I ask questions and dialogue with my students to gain a better understanding. I want them to know that I am dedicated to seeing their goals accomplished and that I always encourage them that there is nothing we can't tackle.

I have worked with adults in reading, grammar and writing for personal and business use as well as children and young teens.

If you feel that you can't overcome.... you are right.

Your brain is amazing and you should never underestimate yourself. Whatever you set your mind to doing, with a bit of help... you CAN accomplish it. Believe it.

I am always asked how I can help to educate a child. Recently I was able to create a whole academic schedule for a family along with recommended curriculum.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. What specific areas am I struggling with in a subject? Many times people think they are not good in a subject, but really it could just be an aspect of the subject in which they are stuck.
