About Krystle

I am extremely knowledgeable in my field and have a passion bffor helping young children. I have worked in education for the past 12 years. My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education and my Master's Degree is in Literacy Education. I have a principal certification and excel in the elementary field. I have taught grades K-3, worked as a coach with teachers on best practices and written curriculum for an online educational program.

I enjoy watching children learn to read and/or seeing that lightbulb go off when something clicks or makes sense. It's the best feeling!

I have always loved children and had a passion for helping young students learn to read.

About the lesson

First and foremost is to assess where the student is at and consider where they need to be. I also like to get a solid understanding of how the student learns best. From there, we can decide on an action plan.

I have worked with a variety of students from Title I schools to college prep private schools. I have had a range of students working with those that have languished based learning disabilities to Gifted and Talented students.

Respect your teachers expertise, ask questions, and if something doesn't seem right, speak up!

After the end of the most recent school year closing online, the gratitude and appreciation from my Kindergarten families was outrageous. While I didn't get to be with them in person to close out the year, the emails and reach outs from the families to express their thankfulness was so empowering and motivating. It made me proud and glad to be an educator 😊.
