Emily has been a great support and help to me while taking my organic chemistry. She has helped explain things in simple ways and retain the knowledge well. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher.

Emily is a very knowledgeable and fun person. She has done excellent work as a chemist and has been teaching labs for many years now. She has also tutored for as long aw I have known her. Highly recommend.

In the 3 years that I have known Emily throughout her time as a PhD. student, she has routinely impressed me with her ability to not only remain calm and focused under pressure but also approach every situation with a positive attitude and an eagerness to find solutions. Having observed her teaching style from a supervisory role, her interactions with students can be described as encouraging, thoughtful, and structured. Emily is able to adapt to the individual needs of each student she works with and aims to encourage them to think critically about the problem at hand. She asks probative questions that help students build up their understanding piece by piece until they are able to answer their own questions.

Emily has proven to be on time excellent in her skill as a chemistry teacher and was always willing to change or be patient enough for my daughter to get herself together while she was getting tutored they were many other tutors before Emily they all say fell off and it was hard for me to continue with Varsity Tutors however I did give varsity tutors another chance, and Emily proved to be the winner thank you for having a family as one of your staff members

Emily was my daughter's HS Chemistry tutor for 6+ months. My daughter has made great improvement in her Chemistry class at school and we are grateful for having Emily as her Chemistry tutor. We maintain a great relationship and will certainly come back to Emily when my 7th grader goes to high school in two years.
