About Patti
I started teaching in a computer company training its employees in various business and computer-related subjects. After that I held positions teaching on the college, high school, and middle school, and elementary levels.
I hold a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught over 35 years on various levels from elementary up to the college level giving me the experience to adjust teaching techniques to the ability of the student’s age and cognitive learning ability.

Depending on the age of the student, there is an initial interview with the student and/or parent. This helps to determine the student’s current level of understanding and thus gives a starting point for meeting the student’s individual learning needs.
I have worked with the traditional student as well as special needs students.
Be sure you are compatible with the teaching strategies and the personality of the teacher.
Working with a student and hearing the student say, “I get it” and seeing the frustration leave and the joy on the face of the student when understanding is achieved is extremely rewarding.
