About Britany
Hi, there! My name is Brit and I am 25 years old. I am a native English speaker and I am from the state of Arizona in the United States of America.
I have been teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language to online learners for two years and I have more than 6 years of academic coaching experience. I obtained an internationally recognized teaching qualification by completing the 120 Hour Accredited TEFL Certification course with High Distinction. In addition, I am a student at Harvard University Division of Continuing Education, which is part of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard.
Over the years, I have taught a variety of ages and academic levels, ranging from preschool-aged children to college-level learners. My first goal is to develop an understanding of each student's academic obstacles, which allows me to adapt my teaching methods accordingly. This also gives me the ability to teach at the student's level of understanding, reinforce their learning potential, and further accentuate their unique strengths.
I strive to positively influence each of my students in ways that will enhance their learning skills and help them become confident in themselves, both in and out of the classroom.
Tutoring allows me to share my love of English and I hope it will help to open the minds and doors of opportunity for each of my students.

My first priority is getting to know the student and adapting my teaching methods to their individual needs. Developing an understanding of the student's academic obstacles allows me to guide them through their learning challenges and respond to any questions that they may have. In addition, I'm able to reinforce their learning potential and further accentuate their unique strengths. I allow each student to learn at their own pace and I encourage them to think independently and develop their own opinions.
