About Emily
Hi my name is Emily and I was a high school English teacher for 6 years. I have an excellent education from Fordham University for both my bachelors and masters degrees. I worked as a Director for Education Inc, a hospital tutoring company, and as the Dean of Instruction for KIPP middle schoo in Lynn. Currently I work as the Director of Education for a software company. As a teacher and tutor I had excellent results with my students by creating personalized learning plans for them. My students had a 100% pass rate 3 years in a row on the NY state Common Core ELA Regents exam. I also tutored a 7th grade boy in all subjects.
I love seeing the light bulb go off for my students. I love giving them a framework or pattern to follow so they feel comfortable and confident when they are in the classroom. I find that my students feel comfortable sharing their struggles with me so we can work together to build their confidence.
