About Jane

Hello, my name is Jane. I am an experienced tutor and education consultant with a strong background in helping children prepare for both grammar school and independent school entry. Over the years, I have supported students of different abilities in Chinese, 11+ subjects, and interview preparation. I am passionate about guiding children through every step of their journey, helping them build confidence and reach their full potential. Some of my students attend leading boarding schools such as Aldro Prep in Surrey, Bilton Grange Prep in Rugby, and Brighton College Prep, while others are day pupils based in London and across the South of England. For senior schools, I have successfully supported students who gained places at prestigious schools including Oxford High School, Malvern College, Cheltenham College, The Maynard School, Fettes College, and Canford School. I also collaborate with other specialist tutors to create tailored preparation plans that match each child’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring that both the student and the family receive the right support throughout the process.

About the lesson

I am an experienced tutor and education consultant specialising in: Chinese language tutoring (all levels) 11+ preparation – Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths, and English Independent school interview coaching I work with students of different abilities and provide personalised plans to guide them through the entire 11+ preparation journey. My approach goes beyond academics – I focus on building confidence, developing strong study habits, and supporting students from a psychological perspective to reduce stress and improve performance. Having worked with many families, I have seen common mistakes parents make during preparation. That is why I also offer guidance to parents and provide regular check-ins with students, ensuring steady progress and a strong, trusting relationship.
