About Lena

Lena is an academic at heart with real-world experience in business and teaching. The perfect combo for an effective tutor!

In college, Lena majored in business while working part-time as a Business major tutor. After graduating Magna Cum Laude, Lena spent two years teaching elementary students. She is now a Financial Advisor and a small business owner.

Not only will she help you get your schoolwork done, but she will ensure you walk away understanding the concept. She is fun, light-hearted, and skilled at explaining complex concepts in simple terms.

Master's Degree in Elementary Education plus two years experience as a First Grade teacher

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration plus two years of part-time work experience as a Business Tutor.

Currently , enrolled at University of Texas to complete coursework to earn a Certificate in Financial Planning

Registered Investment Advisor with a Series 65 license

About the lesson

Typically I like to schedule a mutual time for a Zoom virtual call.

If the student knows what they need help with before the session, I prefer to get a heads up so I can use our scheduled time efficiently. (i.e. send homework, reading assignments, topics to cover, etc.)

I end each session with a quick assessment to ensure the student understood the topic we covered.

Elementary students

Undergraduate Business majors studying Economics and/or general Business concepts

Find a tutor that not only has the academic background/experience required, but also experience teaching.
