About Armando
Hello. I am Armando Cepeda, "El Sensei." I am an award-winning, high school graphic design teacher. Former NASA graphic designer. I am the President of the Placentia/Yorba Linda Art Association. I enjoy painting "Plein Air" (outdoors) throughout Orange County mostly in Laguna Beach. In my workshop, Humor and Art come together to teach the Non-Artist how to be creative in an easy, step-by-step process. If you can hold a paintbrush or pencil in your hand, I can teach you how to create magic. Let's get started!
I attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. I have been learning how to get better at my craft for over 20 years. I also attend excellent presentations and workshops conducted by top professional artists.

I begin by explaining the anatomical manner in which fingers, hand, elbow, and shoulder combine to serve as the actual "Artist's Tool." The paintbrush or pencil serve as vehicles for holding the paint or graphite in place.
