About Megan

I am currently an Art Teacher for a range of ages and demographics. I graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design and I am enrolled for my Masters this fall. I believe that all people are capable of creating beautiful paintings, and it’s my job to help you reach your full potential. I have successfully worked with students from ages two years old up to 90, and it’s all been a lot of fun! Painting is a true passion mine and I look forward to sharing that with you. I am well versed in many techniques and painting mediums! What would you like to learn? I’m here to help!

Teaching is something that I’ve always loved to do! It’s hard to say when I started. I would say I started teaching professionally while pursuing my bachelors degree.

KCAD graduate with a bachelors degree in art education with a focus on design and painting.

Currently an art educator for Grand Rapids Public Schools. Before that, an art director for Kroc Center summer camp, and painting instructor for Arts and Carafes

About the lesson

I like to establish a good relationship with my students in order to get a feel for their interests and learning style. From there, it’s important to assess their level of skill and what their goals are. I love empowering my students whenever possible in order for them to gain self-confidence and motivation to continue learning and developing outside of the lessons.

I’ve worked with ages two years old up to 90 years old. Ive worked with many students from different demographics with a range of interests.

Details

50 dollars an hour minimum plus cost for supplies, or 90$ for 2 full hours (plus supply costs). This is unless the student already owns the needed supplies.
