About Cathy

My gallery is located in the historic train station in the quaint Main Street District of Downtown Parkville, Mo.

Art instruction, gallery exhibitions and Plein air events and Master workshops create a rich atmosphere for inspiration-

I have taught for 34 years and have received awards and accommodations for my

accomplishments and service.

Traditional media is taught in an intimate setting with small attendance, just perfect for personal guidance-

currently with the isolation in practice from Covid-19. My classes are taught through FaceTime. Original VIDEOS - Texting emails messaging and

personal phone calls with exchanges of work in progress-

About the lesson

I feel it's very important to see prior work if there is no prior work we start with our signature I see the use of their line and I have them draw 35 minute drawings for me from there I listen to what it is that they would like to do to make them feel more like the artist that they are but maybe just don't realize it yet

Through demonstrations assignments videos and homework I develop them

Perfect! It's my favorite time of the week! Cathy is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and encouraging, with such a good understanding of the different mediums. Her gallery is a wonderful place to paint with lots of natural light in a beautiful setting. I will continue until she kicks me out.
