Mrs. Holtzer is the best art teacher I've ever had. She was constantly positive, cheerful, and encouraging. She was always professional but made me feel comfortable to come to her with anything I was having trouble with. I knew I could depend on her for advice and a push in the right direction without her doing all the work for me. With her help, I stepped out of my comfort zone and experimented with all different kinds of media, and she gave me the confidence I needed to excel and succeed in what I'm passionate about.

Lauren Holtzer knew what to do to push me and challenge me in order to Be the best I could. She knew what techniques work best for me and allowed a lot of creative freedom whenever a project was given. She let me know what I could work on and ultimately led me to become a better artist in the fact that she not only told me, but showed me what I could do to improve in my skills. She is a very personable person and values her connections with her students and made sure I was improving and producing the best work I could.

I have only been a student of hers for a little less than a year but it feels like ive been working with her for so much longer than that! She is very understanding and cooperative with my ideas regarding art and can effortlessly explain concepts that are typically difficult for others to convey, and i think that is what makes her an awesome teacher.

Mrs.Holtzer was my art teacher for three years and has been one of the best teachers I’ve had. There was never a dull moment, whether it was the fun music in the background, the interesting and entertaining conversations with her students (lots of laughter), or the positive energy that always filled the room as we worked together to make progress on our pieces. She was always there when a student had a question or needed to be shown examples of how to do something and she never lost her patience. Each lesson was taught to us in a variety of creative ways, including videos, hand-drawn examples and even memes, so that we were never bored. The thing I liked the most with working with Mrs.Holtzer was that she saw each student for their individual uniqueness and always made us feel welcome and comfortable to express ourselves and make mistakes, while lifting us up. Working with her has created many fun memories and skills for me to cherish. :)

Mrs Holtzer has taught me to be more confident in my art style and that there is no right or wrong in art! I can confidently say that she has gotten me to the place I am today, not only as an artist, but as a human being. She is so inspiring to be around and always wants the best for her students. 10/10 would recommend working with Mrs Holtzer! :)

Mrs. Holtzer was my art teacher for all 4 years of highschool. She wasn’t just my teacher, she was also a friend. She encourages her students to think outside the box. Mrs. Holtzer has a very open and comforting way of helping you develop your ideas onto the page. Her experience shows constantly through her guidance and is someone who you would WANT to be your mentor in your personal Art journey. Personally, she has really helped me understand the steps on how to get the composition of a piece and how to really communicate my skill/message. She is now my third Art teacher I have had, and definitely has proven to be the best. Her personality allows for you to be able to laugh while also pumping out some of your best work. She is the ideal mentor.

Not only is she a fantastic artist- absolutely fantastic- she teaches art in a way that is easy to understand and encourages positive progression. With every mark, shade, and stroke she teaches you to understand art, what and how you create, and really develop a gorgeous skill set.
