About Jocelyne

Fine artist, watercolor, illustrator, acrylic, drawing, realism, graphic design, graphite, ink. Experience in teaching student from Pre-K to Seniors, everyone can make art! I work with my students where they are at and improve step by step. I encourage my students to try new techniques and visualize form in multiple ways teaching them how to apply perspective to their own work.

I started teaching kindergarden art and from there I worked at a studio teaching all age ranges. I now work out of WAAS Gallery in Deep Ellum as a resident artist/ambassador.

I have 10+ years in experience as a painter, Graduated Garland High School with both an AP and IB Diploma in Art and Studied Illustration at the Southwest University of Visual Arts in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have taught painting to students from Kindergarden to Adults over 50 years old. I am adept at communication with any level of persons.

About the lesson

I asses the level of which the student is at and ask them if they'd like to work on any one tecnique/medium first. My goal is to have them as comfortable as possible to maximize the learning experience.

I have worked with students anywhere from kindergarden to adults over 50 years old.

I would advise that the student come with questions in mind as to what they would like to learn/improve on.

The last time I had a group lesson the students all took a group photo with their canvases and I couldn't have felt more proud.
