About Gabriela

I love to choreograph and teach fun and modern dances for boys and girls between the ages of 6-16. I can teach group dances or solo dances for contemporary, Latin, hip hop, ballet, or jazz. I’ve been dancing since i was 3 years old and can’t get enough of it.

I enjoy putting in hard work with what i love to do and see a fun and clean performance come out of it that makes me feel confident and happy. I like to encourage others to reach their goals with where they want to be with their dance skills

I started teaching my little cousins who all live very close by and since they loved it every time, I decided to expanded to teaching other people nearby.

I have danced in Cherney Dance Studio for about 10 years, and continued on into highschool for 3 more years dancing for our school’s dance team, dance ensemble, and even studying dance as a class for two trimesters. I have also been dancing salsa and bachata for two years now and can’t wait to continue in college next year!

About the lesson

I like to make sure the learning process is just as fun as finally getting to perform the dance, I always make sure everyone is on the same page before moving on, and always encouraging other students to help each other out along the way. Before starting, getting to know eachother makes the group dance more energetic and fun in my experience, so ice breakers are always a great idea :)

I have worked with people of all ages for different occasions such as birthday parties, get together a, talent shows, or most commonly, just for fun. I have worked with small children, tweens, teens, and even adults.

I would advise a student to look for a teacher who loves what they do and is patient with their students

I recently worked with a small group of older family members who have had little to no previous experience in contemporary/ modern dancing and after just two days of hard work, we put together an exciting and clean final performance for a modanna themed party they all had a blast at.

Details

I charge $15 dollars per hour per child, and i am flexible if working one on one, but group dances would have a scheduled time to meet throughout the weeks.
