About Michael
I am an engineer at a Fortune 10 company. I have gotten to where I am today by being a sponge of knowledge, and understanding that learning is a journey that begins with a single step.
I have taught for 5 years, and I have loved every second of it. I teach to all ages and, and I would love to explore how I can help any student.
I absolutely adore being able to see my students grow, and begin to finally understand the material at hand. I live for the moment where I can see the proverbial light bulb go off in their heads.
I have always had a passion for teaching. I loved coming up with interesting ways to convey information for my students. I first started when I was in high school, where I led a small study group of friends where we worked together to take on the SATs and ACTs, where I managed to receive high marks as well.
I have graduated from the system of the most presitious public universities in California. Not only that, but I also attended on a full-paid scholarship program thanks to my high marks. I come from a family of public educators, and I have taught in the past myself.

Meeting with a new student is also a time for me to learn as well. Every student is different, and I take that in my stride. I take the time to discover how the student learns best, as well as really understand what it is the student is struggling with. From there, I develop unique, tailor-made course designed especially for them.
I have worked with students of all ages and experience levels, however the majority of my clients were middle-school aged, or university aged, with the appropriate curriculum for both.
Know yourself! It is best to understand how best you learn, and also what exactly it is you truly struggle with. Do you struggle with all math, or do you just get confused once fractions or letters enter the mix? Knowing yourself is always half the battle.
Just this past Fourth of July, I had the absolute pleasure of spending it with my family. I don't live particularly close to home, so I relish the opportunity to see family. My grandparents flew in from another state, and we had a lovely time, enjoying my mother's delicious homemade cooking.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself what exactly you are hoping to get out of a tutor. Are you looking for someone to help you understand your material from the ground up? Or are you looking for someone to just get you through the semester. Whatever your decision, I know I would be a great choice!
