About Eliana
I have experience teaching students ages 6-69, from complete beginners to advanced intermediate.
For the moment I am only giving virtual lessons. My private studio is currently based in Montreal, Canada. I have taught group and individual classess in the El Sistema model, and given public masterclasses.
I have university degrees in both orchestral performance and early music performance, giving me a wealth of information about the modern classical music scene and baroque historically-informed practice. I also have extensive experience as a session musician on pop, folk and contemporary albums.
The study of music is an analytical, independent and deeply personal process. It has the ability to unlock indispensible tools for people to explore many facets of life, and I love helping people along that process; tailoring what I have learned to the indiviudual's interests and goals on the cello, with music, and beyond. It is a joy to bring music to the next generation of young musicians, or to those later in life who have always wanted to learn, but never had the time!
