About Sydney

In elementary school anytime I had a difficult time with a subject, there would be one person I would call, my tutor. She was always there for me and helped me reach my full academic potential. When I reached the tenth grade I had the opportunity to help others the way that she helped me in the past. I have tutored biology, honors Ancient Literature, The Great Conversation and western Civilization (an ancient history class offered at my highscool). I am a member of the National Honor society and I recieved a Gold Award for excellence in math and science from New York state. due to current circumstances I am well aware that learning can be more challenging for some and I am here to help. I believe that all students have a great potential and I would love to help them discover it!

What I enjoy most about the work I do is seeing the progress the student is making. Seeing them get higher grades and becoming more confident in themselves are two of the best moments that I have experienced in my tutoring carreer.

About the lesson

Typically when working with a new student, the first thing that I would like to do is get to know them. Secondly, I would like to know what they are currently working on and where their problem areas are so I can help them as much as possible!
