About Raymond

I love helping people to learn. Nothing like learning something new each day. I work with students until we get it right and until they are comfortable. I have been in the music business 30+ years. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area but now living in Los Angeles. I have toured and recorded with multiple artists world wide.

I love music. I have been in music sense I was 5 years old. The feeling I get when I play and teach and see the emotion from the Audience and the student makes all worth it.

Well, while touring on the road a lot of fans started to approach me about teaching and after awhile I excepted my first student and really enjoyed it and loved the feeling of seeing how the students react to learning something new.

I took music in high school and also in college. Most of my training was hands on and on the road training.

About the lesson

I first like to see what the student already knows and also what he or she feels are their areas they want to improve.

Most of my students have some type of playing level already. They come to me to learn certain skills or brush up on certain things.

Make sure the teacher understands you and also plays the style of music you are into.

Well, because of COVID right now have not been playing Live sense Mar 2020. But in Jan I was fortunate to perform on the Grammy's and also perform on the Grammy's tribute to Prince. Both of those events meant a lot to me because of the relationship I have with all of the artist.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should make sure this is what they want to do. They need to ask themselves do I want to put 100% into this or is this just a hobby? Should ask yourself do you have time to practice and have no distractions.
