About Mike
I am a level 3 certified NTS coach with USA Archery. Our JOAD team is called the Island Archers. JOAD stands for Junior Olympic Archery Development which is a program of USA Archery (the governing body for USA olympic archery training). We have about 20 kids now ranging from 8 yrs old to 18 yrs old. New students are coming every month. I have been an archer for 20 years, competing for the last 10 yrs and coaching for the last 6 years. I am currently working on my level 4 certification. Check out our website: (concealed information)

About the lesson

We introduce the National Training System used by USA Archery. Practice the first few steps of the form with a stretch band. Then we introduce the equipment and explain how to use it. Next we practice the form elements with the bow. And the last 10 minutes we pick an archery game and use the skill we have learned in a game.
