About Taylor
Hi! My name is Taylor, and I'm a student myself at ETSU! Growing up, I found success within the classroom and often times helped my peers understand the material. I realized how much I loved helping others, specifically with classroom subjects. In high school, I began to help those around me prepare for the ACT after making a 31. It involved some hard work, but I believe anyone can succeed with a few tips and some dedication! I will help you prepare for the ACT and feel as prepared as possible, especially under the pressure of the clock!
Today's students are tomorrow's leaders. It's just a fact. I believe every student has the potential to truly succeed as long as they have the desire to. Watching my peers get their dream careers due to their hardwork and dedication to the classroom is truly amazing to see, and I love to help others do the same. It's truly a fulfilling job!
I graduated Cocke County High School with a 4.1 GPA and in the top 9% of my class. Furthermore, I am currently projected to graduate a year early from East Tennessee State University with my bachelor's degree and a 3.9 GPA!

When working with a new student, I like to learn about the student first. It's absolutely crucial to learn how a student learns before covering any material. Also, learning about the student and getting to know them even just a little bit before the actual tutoring will make them much more comfortable!
My best advice would be to look for someone who truly has an interest in what they are teaching you! With some teachers, the passion in their subject makes all the difference!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Honestly, I think a student should be able to address any concerns they have to a teacher. Teachers are meant to be a mentor to their student(s), so I believe they should be there to, at the least, listen to the student!
