About Jacolien

First and foremost, I believe that teaching is a powerful means to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals. By imparting knowledge, skills, and values, I have the privilege of shaping the future generation and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally. Witnessing the growth and development of my students, both academically and as individuals, brings me immense satisfaction and fulfillment.

Moreover, teaching allows me to foster a love for learning and curiosity within my students. I strongly believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and as a teacher, I have the opportunity to inspire a thirst for knowledge in my students. When I see their faces light up with excitement and see them actively engage in the learning process, it reinforces my belief that I am making a significant impact in their lives.

Another aspect of teaching that I thoroughly enjoy is the opportunity to be a mentor and role model for my students. Beyond academic instruction, I strive to instill important values such as perseverance, integrity, empathy, and critical thinking. Being there for my students, guiding and supporting them through challenges, and witnessing their personal growth is incredibly rewarding.

Furthermore, teaching provides me with the chance to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. I strongly believe in the power of diversity and strive to create a space where every student feels valued, respected, and included. Seeing my students celebrate their differences, embrace each other's perspectives, and collaborate harmoniously fills me with a sense of pride and joy.

Lastly, teaching is a profession that constantly challenges me to grow and learn. Every day brings new opportunities for creativity, innovation, and continuous self-improvement. Through professional development, collaboration with colleagues, and staying updated with the latest research and pedagogical practices, I am constantly evolving as an educator, which is both exciting and fulfilling.
