About Marie
I have been an elementary teacher for twenty-five years. I teach the testing years because I want to ensure that students have all the skills needed to do well. I do my best to meet the needs of individuals. When I tutor, my goal, is to help you develop the skills you need, so you don't need me anymore.

Magic Numbers, I start every year teaching my students what they will need that is common to all areas, so we get off to a good start. I try to bring all the resources both old and new I can to help develop the understanding for students. I may have made them or bought them. I also believe in incidental learning. There are multiplication, shape ... posters, around my room, especially where we line up, it is so children can learn without trying. I integrate math in any subject I can (ex. art, science) to demonstrate it's usefulness and to increase student enjoyment.
Math is patterns, and that is what my students are looking for (patterns exist in problem solving too).

Details
$20/hr. Free Evaluation and introductory lesson. I can be contacted outside of regularly scheduled times for assistance. I also teach basic skills, reading, writing and math. I appreciate notice before a cancellation.
