About Ebony
I am a little teacher with a lot of energy! I like to create new experiences with and for the students I am supporting and this happens in a variety of ways, including:
* dance,
* sport
* crafts
* cooking,
* current events, e.g. the Olympics.
I have a strong belief that manners, honesty and independence are important and should be shown both to and from the student. Also that everyone makes mistakes and has something to teach as well as learn from others, no matter their age or background.

When you ask "What did you learn today?" Do you mostly get a response of "Nothing!" or something similar? Then it's time to treat your child to learning both what they need to learn, WHY/HOW it can support their future. Most of all that education does not have to be boring! With over 20 years of teaching, including 10 years in British international schools, as well as teaching in English local authority school, including SEND and tutoring online and face-to-face for over 5 years, I have learnt that adults are only in the room to support the child! By taking the lead from your child, I am able to support them to develop their understanding and confidence. KS 1 lessons are 30 - 45 minutes, including at least 1 movement break, which is often linked to previous or the current learning. KS2 lessons are 45 - 60 minutes long, again structured to include physical activity.
