About Lacy

I believe students learn best when they feel supported, encouraged, and understood. My approach as a tutor is patient, structured, and student-centered. I take time to understand each student’s current level, learning style, and goals so I can create lessons that are clear, meaningful, and easy to follow.

My teaching method includes step-by-step explanations, guided practice, repetition, visuals, real-life examples, and opportunities for students to practice speaking, reading, writing, and listening in Spanish. I focus on building confidence, not just memorization. I want students to understand how the language works and feel comfortable using it.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of what the student already knows, followed by a clear explanation of the new topic. Then, we practice together through examples, sentence-building, vocabulary activities, grammar exercises, reading practice, or speaking activities. I end each lesson by checking for understanding, answering questions, and giving the student practical strategies to continue improving.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my classroom experience, my ability to explain Spanish in a simple and organized way, and my commitment to helping students feel successful. I understand that learning a new language can feel challenging, so I create a positive learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow with confidence.
