About Angela
Writing
I am a qualified and experienced Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working across children and families, child protection and criminal justice services in Scotland.
I hold an MA (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Social Work Studies and an MSc in Child Protection. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of frontline and senior practitioner roles, including supervising and supporting other professionals, undertaking complex assessments and preparing reports for courts and other formal proceedings.
Alongside my employed roles, I work as an Independent Social Worker, completing specialist assessments and reports. This has allowed me to develop strong skills in research, critical analysis, reflective practice and professional writing.
I am passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and confidence, particularly students who are beginning their journey into social work or psychology. I understand that academic study can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when balancing assignments, placements and other commitments.
My approach is friendly, patient and down to earth. I believe learning should be supportive and engaging, and I enjoy helping people make connections between academic theory and real-life practice.
Whether you are looking for support with academic writing, understanding complex topics, developing your reflective skills or preparing for professional practice, I aim to provide a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and building your confidence.

My lessons are tailored to meet your individual learning needs, whether you are studying social work, psychology or preparing to enter professional practice.
As an experienced social worker with a background in children and families, child protection and criminal justice, I offer practical, supportive and engaging sessions that help students build their knowledge, confidence and understanding.
I can provide support with academic writing, reflective practice, critical analysis, applying theory to practice, case studies, professional assessments and interview preparation.
My approach is relaxed, encouraging and flexible. I recognise that everyone learns differently, and I aim to create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions, explore ideas and develop your skills at your own pace.
Lessons are delivered online and can focus on specific assignments, areas of study or broader professional development. My aim is not simply to help you understand the subject but to develop the confidence and critical thinking skills to apply your learning independently.
