About Griff
I’m a singing tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, majoring in Voice. I specialise in helping students prepare for auditions, competitions, and stage performances with confidence and skill. My teaching covers a wide range of styles, including Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theatre. I focus on key areas like diction, range development, and vocal agility to help each student find their unique sound. Selecting the right repertoire is important to me, as it showcases both technical ability and emotional depth. Dramatic interpretation is another strength I emphasise, ensuring performances are powerful and memorable. I have worked with school students, drama majors, and adult singers returning to music after a break. Each student receives personalised guidance tailored to their goals and experience level. My goal is to build solid technique while nurturing stage presence and vocal artistry. Together, we work towards performances that are not just technically strong but also full of expression and confidence. I’m passionate about helping singers unlock their full potential and shine on stage.

My singing methodology focuses on helping singers master multiple genres, including classical, pop, and jazz. For church ensemble players, the goal is to blend smoothly with others while maintaining strong pitch control and emotional connection. We work on vocal techniques that support sustained, clear notes and expressive delivery suited for worship settings. For crossover artists, versatility is key. They learn to switch between styles by adapting vocal tone, dynamics, and phrasing to fit each genre’s unique feel. Both singers develop musicality by studying stylistic elements like rhythm, articulation, and interpretation. I encourage exploring each genre deeply to build authentic expression. Modern tech tools play a big role in progress. Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) help record and review performances. Metronomes ensure precise timing, while pitch training apps sharpen intonation and ear accuracy. This blend of traditional technique and technology keeps learning focused and effective. It also motivates singers by making their growth visible and measurable. Whether harmonising in a choir or crossing genre boundaries, students gain confidence and skill. Together, we create a dynamic vocal journey that embraces diversity and excellence.
