About Averie
I am an experienced vocal tutor with a passion for helping singers develop their own sound. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, with a specialization in Lieder and Art Song. Over 7 years of teaching, I have worked with students at all levels. My focus is on jazz and blues improvisation.
I guide students through scat singing, melodic variation, and harmonic understanding. Lessons combine ear training, scales, and chord theory. Everything is applied in a musical context. This makes learning both practical and engaging.
Each student receives personalized instruction. I adapt lessons to suit individual goals and abilities. I work with beginners building confidence and advanced singers refining technique. Both are equally rewarding.
I believe in balancing discipline with creativity. A strong foundation supports expressive freedom. My aim is to help students become confident, unique, and expressive vocalists.

My teaching approach focuses on helping singers build both skill and confidence. I guide students through vocal technique, including breath control and tone. Lessons are practical and easy to follow. I also include ear training and musical understanding.
Audition preparation is an important part of my method. Students learn how to choose the right songs. We work on delivery, interpretation, and confidence. I help them prepare for real audition settings.
Performance anxiety is managed with simple and clear techniques. Students learn how to stay calm and focused. Stage presence is developed step by step. They learn how to communicate with their audience.
I work especially well with adult beginners and advanced teens. They are supported and encouraged to grow. I also push them to take challenges seriously. Confidence builds through experience.
The goal is to prepare singers for success in performance. They are ready to step on stage and impress.
