About Ana
I am a dedicated and professional Science tutor with strong subject knowledge and classroom experience across KS3, GCSE, and IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I currently train as a qualified Science teacher and bring a calm, structured, and supportive approach to every lesson.
I am well organised, reliable, and thorough in my planning. Lessons are clearly structured, expectations are high, and progress is regularly reviewed to ensure students are developing confidence and understanding. I take pride in creating a safe and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.
I have experience supporting learners with a range of needs, including those who require additional guidance as well as students aiming for high exam performance. My focus is always on helping students build confidence, independence, and lasting understanding in Science.

I am a passionate and structured Science tutor who believes that every student can succeed when teaching is clear, supportive, and tailored to their needs. My approach is built on clarity, confidence-building, and high expectations, ensuring that students not only understand scientific concepts but can apply them accurately and independently.
I teach through explicit instruction and guided practice, carefully breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps. Lessons follow a clear structure:
Explanation and modelling (I show students how to think and work scientifically),
Guided practice (we practise together with targeted questioning),
Independent application (students apply their learning with confidence).
I place strong emphasis on exam technique, scientific vocabulary, and structured written answers, particularly for GCSE and IGCSE students. I also regularly revisit prior learning to strengthen retention and address misconceptions early.
