I am a qualified Afrikaans teacher (BA Degree/HED/Translation Diploma - Unisa) with various academic publications related to prescribed books for literature at primary as well as secondary school level. For the past 12 years I have freelanced as language practitioner.

My teaching method is to work on vocabulary for five minutes every lesson to make sure that the new words that were introduced the previous lesson have been understood and memorised. I then proceed to specific content - explaining new text e.g. comprehension - relevance of title, meanings of words, message of text etc. Student will be expected to answer content questions afterwards in writing.
