About Kevin

I am a Computer Programming tutor with over 5 years of experience and a BSc in Computer Science. I work with high school students preparing for IGCSE and A-Level exams. My approach combines live coding demonstrations, interactive exercises, and clear theoretical explanations. Students build strong foundations in core programming topics such as Functions, Loops, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Programming. I include past papers and coding challenges to reinforce learning and prepare students for exams. Lessons are paced and tailored to each student’s learning style. I emphasise problem-solving, debugging, and logical reasoning. Complex programming concepts are broken into manageable steps for better understanding. Creativity and curiosity are encouraged in every session. Students gain confidence in coding while developing practical skills. Lessons are engaging, structured, and interactive. I aim to make programming accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful. Together, we tackle challenging topics and achieve mastery. My goal is to support students in reaching their academic goals.

About the lesson

I focus on teaching Computer Programming by combining conceptual clarity with interactive coding exercises. Active visualisation allows students to see how code executes and how algorithms operate. Core topics include Loops, Functions, Variables, Object-Oriented Programming, Algorithm Design, and Recursion. Basic Web Development is introduced to give practical application. Lessons integrate live coding demonstrations with clear explanations. I provide guidance to Future Developers and Logical Thinkers, helping them develop confidence in foundational concepts. Students practise writing, testing, and debugging code independently. Exercises enhance problem-solving, computational thinking, and logical reasoning. Real-life coding examples make abstract ideas tangible. Creativity and analytical thinking are encouraged alongside technical skills. Lessons are structured, interactive, and paced to each student’s level. Together, we turn challenging programming concepts into manageable skills. Steady practice ensures mastery of fundamentals. My goal is to help learners succeed academically and in practical coding projects.
