About Ellamae
Sport and exercise have always been a huge passion of mine, not just for the physical benefits, but for the mental clarity, discipline, and resilience they build. The lessons learnt through sport about hard work, consistency, and pushing through challenges, translate directly into all areas of life, including the classroom. As a teacher, I understand how important it is to inspire young people, both in their learning and their wider personal development. I still remember the teachers who left a lasting impact on me, the ones who taught with genuine kindness, energy, and a real love for their subject. That’s exactly the kind of teacher I strive to be: someone who motivates students to believe in themselves, take risks, and enjoy the learning process.

I personalise all of my lessons because I truly believe that learning is a highly individual journey, what works for one student may not work for another. I bring energy, enthusiasm, and a flexible approach to every session, adapting my teaching style to suit the unique needs, goals, and learning preferences of each tutee. Over time, I’ve developed a wide range of teaching methods that have proven successful across different students and subjects. What I enjoy most is helping students build the confidence to take risks in their learning- whether that means asking more questions, tackling challenging problems, or exploring new ways of thinking.
