About Dan
I have been teaching for 16 years in primary schools; I have taught all year groups from Year 1 to Year 6. During the last few years I have been a Year 2 teacher , and, before that, a Year 6 teacher so am used to preparing children for SATS. I am currently part of a group of maths teachers looking to improve their practice by studying excellent-rated teachers from Shanghai. I believe education should be fun, so am keen on lots of maths and spelling games to engage children. I am currently a Music and Computing co-ordinator at my school and can teach computer coding and recorders. I have a good sense of humour which I find is important when forming one to one relationships with new students. I am new to private tutoring, but am looking forward to helping more young people on their learning journey.
