About Shila
Hello! I'm Shila, a dedicated Mathematics teacher with two years of classroom experience teaching primary school students in India. I hold a Diploma In Elementary Education and have qualified both West Bengal TET and CTET teacher eligibility exams, which reflect my commitment to professional teaching standards. I'm currently continuing my education with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I'm patient, reliable, and genuinely care about each student's progress, always communicating clearly with both students and parents. My teaching method focuses on breaking math down into small, simple steps, using real-life examples so concepts feel practical, not abstract. A typical lesson starts with reviewing what the student already knows, followed by a clear explanation of the new topic, guided practice together, and a few problems the student solves independently while I offer support. What sets me apart is patience — I never move forward until a student truly understands, and I adjust my explanations based on how each child learns best. My lessons are designed for students in grades 1 to 8, covering topics like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and early algebra. I especially enjoy helping students who feel nervous about math build real confidence.
