About Joel

With 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, I bring both passion and academic training to every lesson. I believe that piano playing is not just about technique but also about mental well-being. That’s why I integrate mindfulness and relaxation techniques into practice sessions. This approach helps students develop calm focus and reduces tension, making learning more enjoyable and effective. I specialize in guiding students through stage anxiety with gentle encouragement and practical strategies. My lessons create a safe, supportive space where learners can build confidence at their own pace. I’m especially interested in how music can support adult wellness, helping busy learners find balance and peace through piano. Each lesson is designed to nurture both skill and self-awareness. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping learners create musical fluency from day one. I believe every student can build confidence by playing music that excites them while developing strong foundational skills. We work on finger independence to improve control and accuracy. Reading fluency is a key part of lessons, helping students quickly understand notes and rhythms. I include real-time rhythm training to build steady timing and groove. Duet playing is a fun way to develop listening skills and musical interaction.

I tailor lessons to support those who love playing popular music or church pieces. My goal is to help you express yourself freely and confidently at the piano. I provide clear guidance and encourage consistent practice. Lessons are designed to be engaging and rewarding. Whether you want to perform with others or play solo, I’m here to support your growth.
