About Charlotte
I have 6 years of experience teaching piano and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology with a focus on Piano History. My lessons combine strong musical foundations with creative learning that keeps students motivated. I enjoy helping students understand music instead of simply memorizing it.
I focus on jazz piano improvisation, comping techniques, and building a rich harmonic vocabulary. We also study jazz theory, ear training for complex chords, transcription, and rhythmic precision. These skills help students become confident and expressive musicians.
I have guided learners from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, along with Professional and Expert jazz musicians. One student improved their improvisation by transcribing short jazz solos every week and slowly creating original ideas. Real progress comes from consistent practice and listening carefully.
I believe every student can develop creativity with the right guidance and encouragement. My goal is to help students enjoy the process while growing into confident musicians. I invite you to begin your journey into spontaneous musical expression and discover the joy of creating music at the piano.

My piano lessons focus on helping students become confident performers as well as skilled musicians. I teach performance anxiety management through simple routines that make students feel prepared and relaxed. We also work on stage presence, memorization techniques, recital preparation, and audition skills.
I include sight reading, musical interpretation, finger independence, rhythm accuracy, pedal control, and expressive dynamics in every lesson. Each class is designed to build confidence while improving technical ability. I once worked with a student who was afraid to perform, and after practicing short mock performances each week, they played confidently at their first recital.
I enjoy helping learners preparing for music exams and those who regularly perform in church settings. I guide them with practical performance strategies and encourage them to trust their preparation. This helps them overcome nerves and communicate music with confidence.
